[SG] Bank Account Opening Introduction

Note 1-The general process and required material of bank account opening services  

General process:

Step 1: Sign the engagement letter and make the payment

Step 2: Understand entity’s business and demands, and give advice on bank account selection;

Step 3: Application and preparation, including

(1) EStar will assist in bank account opening application and provide a list of material to the company for preparation;

(2) EStar will pre-check the material prepared by the company, and give feedback (if applicable);

Step 4: EStar will assist in submission of supporting documents to the bank;

Step 5: EStar will assist in the follow-up, including further communication/query clearance with the bank;

Step 6: EStar will visit the bank for site signature as either the nominee director or the company secretary (if applicable).

Required Material (General)

- Bank account opening application form, and signature of bank authorized person(s)

- Signed board resolution on opening the bank account 

- The company's registration information

- Identity proof and the residence proof of the company's shareholder(s) (If the company’s shareholder(s) can’t site visit the bank for verification, relevant document(s) needs to be notarized);

- The briefing of the company's business

In addition, please kindly noted that Singapore banks will normally require the company’s director(s) and bank authorized person(s) to site visit the bank for verification. If the afore-mentioned person(s) cannot site visit the bank for special reasons, please contact us for alternatives.
